GUITAR HERO ON TOUR: MODERN HITS

UI ARTIST - Nintendo DS (2009)

On Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits, we added a Career Mode where the player goes from rags-to-riches under the guidance of an Agent and the feedback of their fans.

I had the chance to create the background environments for the Career Mode HQ, along with re-theming the entire menu system.

The Main Menu demonstrates Modern Hits' reskinned UI: a grungy look, with rusty riveted metal strips, and graffiti-esque embellishments. The main buttons were redone as speaker cabinets.

The Exit door at the hallway's end allows a player to leave Career Mode and return to the Main Menu.

Here, the player chooses a venue to play a gig at. Each venue's poster is unique in style and design.

On the other side of a high security door, the player views and selects from their collection of guitars

At the Garment Designer's corner, players choose which rocker to be.

At the far end of the hallway behind the velvet ropes, players can practice songs or check on requests from fans in their dressing room.

During gameplay, fans shove items in front of you begging for an autograph. I created a unique item for each venue.
